Science Friday (SciFri) is a great website for science teachers and students. SciFri is a non-profit organization that provides a wide variety of educational materials to help make science learning fun and enjoyable. “Covering the outer reaches of space to the tiniest microbes in our bodies, Science Friday is the source for entertaining and educational stories about science, technology, and other cool stuff.”
Science Friday features lessons, STEM materials, learning activities, science news and several other resources. It is also available as a public radio station for listeners. SciFri resources are arranged into three three main categories: Listen which embeds audio materials and radio shows featuring various science stories and news, Explore is a section where you get to access science resources designed specifically for educational purposes. You can sort these materials by grade levels (PreK- 12), uration and/or subject (e.g., English Language Arts, Physical Science Mathematics, Life science, Earth Science, Chemistry, and more). There is also a section to track science events and shows which can be found under Events. Head over to SciFri and give it a try.
