Mote is an excellent Chrome extension I discovered through Richard Byrne which you can use to create and share voice notes. Mote is integrated into Google Drive allowing you to easily record and add voice memos into Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail, and Google Classroom. Mote also supports transcription in over 20 languages including English, Spanish, Arabic, and many more.
Using Mote’s voice to text feature you can easily transcribe your notes into several languages. You can also edit your transcription and share your voice notes for later usage. If you like using Emojis”now it’s easy to add emojis to your comments in Docs, Sheets, Slides and Classroom. In any comment box, just type : and then continue typing to search for your favorite emoji”.
As a teacher you can use Mote to provide students with audio feedback. Students can instantly access your feedback right from within the document if they have the Mote extension installed on their browser or use a generated link instead. Another great Mote feature for students is the ability to “activate ‘STEM mode’ to beautifully transcribe your mathematical expressions and chemistry compounds”.
